Day 1: Flight Addis Ababa - Semera

Welcome upon arrival at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa and meet your guide.

You will visit the national museum to immerse yourself in the culture and history of Ethiopia, particularly through our ancestor Lucy.

Lunch in Addis Ababa and early afternoon transfer to the airport for the flight to Semera.

Night at Ruftana or Dini hotel or similar.

Day 2: Semera - Ahmed Ela

Early in the morning, you leave for a full day of driving in the desert and the small village of Ahmed Ela where your camp is located.

This day will take you through extraordinary landscapes towards a unique, timeless destination. You will discover the salt caravans crossing the village of Ahmed Ela in particular.

Night in traditional open-air beds at the camp in Ahmed Ela.

Day 3: Dallol

Early in the morning, you will travel to the planet Dallol to discover these multicolored pools from hot springs, sulfuric acids and minerals.

Situated 136 meters below sea level, Dallol is the second lowest point in Africa after Lake Asal in Djibouti. You will be captivated by this extraordinary site.

In the afternoon, you will head towards the Erta Ale volcano.
