A beautiful combination of national parks and lakes in southern Ethiopia.

Nechisar National Park, Senkele Sanctuary, Bale Mountains and Abyjata Park will be the parks visited on this nature trip, they offer spectacular landscapes and are home to diverse wildlife.

Among the lakes, you will appreciate Lake Chamo, Hawassa, Langano and its beaches, Ziway, Abyjata and Shalla. Each of them is full of different treasures to complete these 10 days of nature, wide open spaces and wildlife.

The different parks

Among the species you can see, the Mountain Nyala, the Reed Waterbuck, the Warthog, the Serval, the Golden Jackal, the Spotted Hyena, Swayne's Hartebeest, Menelik's Bushbuck, Colobus Monkeys, Olive Baboon, warthogs, the Abyssinian wolf, zebras, different species of gazelles and many other species.

The Bale Mountains, in particular, are the ideal place to observe a wide variety of endemic birds. Abyjata Park is home to many ostriches and different gazelles. The lake is a refuge for many birds, particularly pink flamingos.

The most beautiful lakes

Lake Chamo, located in southern Ethiopia, is the southernmost of the Great Rift Valley lakes. It is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including crocodiles and hippos. Lake Langano, meanwhile, is a popular vacation spot, offering sandy beaches and calm waters suitable for swimming. Lake Hawassa, also known as Lake Awassa, is surrounded by stunning scenery and is home to a wide variety of birds and aquatic species. Finally, Lake Ziway is the southernmost of the Great Rift Valley lakes in Ethiopia, and is renowned for its rich biodiversity, including its bird populations and fishing communities.
