The Simien mountains to the north are home to Ras Dashen which rises to 4,533 m above sea level; To the east, in the isolated Balé mountains, Tullu Deemtu peaks at an altitude of 4,377 meters and is the 2nd highest peak in Ethiopia.
This perfect combination gives nature lovers a unique trekking opportunity in the heart of these two national parks. With 5 days of trekking in Simien and 5 days in Balé, the balance of these treks will meet all your expectations.

These sites are the refuge of many endemic species in Ethiopia and you will discover families of Gelada baboons, Walia Ibex, Abyssinian wolves, Nyala and many species of birds.
The flora is wild and the giant lobelias adapt to these harsh high altitude climates.
You will have the opportunity to visit Gondar, former capital of Ethiopia in the 17th century and its castles and enjoy a well-deserved rest in Langano where you can relax by the lake and practice some water activities.

You will visit the Trinity Cathedral, the Mausoleum of Emperor Menelik II (Bààta Church) and the national museum where Lucy is located.

After breakfast transfer to the airport and flight to Gondar, city created by King Fassiledous in 1636, capital of Ethiopia in the 17th century. You will continue to Debark located approximately 100 km from Gondar, where the headquarters of Simien National Park is located.

You will go to Sankaber to your first campsite in the national park. On this site you will already appreciate the beauty of this mountainous region and these extraordinary landscapes while enjoying the endemic Gelada baboons and the howls of the Lammergeyer giants.
